In the last 1-2 years, ProcessBiz consultants have provided services to Chevron, BP, Siemens, IBM and Ameridian. During this period, ProcessBiz consultants have

• Provided the vision and conceptual planning of the IT environment for the Refinery of the Future in order to achieve trendsetting levels of safety, profitability and asset utilization
• Provided consulting services in Manufacturing Operations Management for refineries and plants
• Provided in-plant process consulting
• Implemented advanced process control (APC) and optimization, and
• Generated a conceptual process design for a skid-mounted mini-refinery.

IBM retained a ProcessBiz consultant as an SME for their Chemicals & Petroleum consulting practice.

In March 2009, IBM licensed from ProcessBiz the EMPRIS software for Manufacturing Operations Management in the petroleum and chemical industries. EMPRIS is a real-time software framework designed to automate and run production operations in petroleum and process industry manufacturing sites.

ProcessBiz, LLC is the successor company to ProcessBiz Technologies, Inc. (2000-2005) which was formed to develop cutting edge software and provide services for process industries. Its products include EMPRIS, Controller Tuning software and Retailer 2.0 (for the automation of fuel retail). Clients of ProcessBiz Technologies include major Indian oil companies: Reliance, Indian Oil, and HPCL.

Many ProcessBiz personnel were leading the design and implementation of a unique business and manufacturing automation system for the 540KBPD Reliance Jamnagar Complex, a $6 billion refinery/ petrochemicals/ terminals/ port complex and the world's largest project at the time. This project included SAP, APC and process control, MES applications (real-time historian, yield accounting, laboratory management, asset management, terminal operation, blending, operator training, simulation, oil movements, blending, etc), Gigabit Ethernet site networks, IT plant integration and other project applications.The ProcessBiz consultants also assisted in planning and process design .

ProcessBiz executed major alliance agreements with Tokheim (Fuel Retail) and EDS (Production Management).

Process Operations, Control and Real Time Data

ProcessBiz advised a specialty chemicals company on improving its process operations, setting up process control strategies and an information system that will bring real time data to the owners. This company was losing its market share in the US to foreign products because its costs were high and it could not achieve product specifications.

SAP Consulting

ProcessBiz advised SAP India on how to get production, dispatch and consumption information to the SAP system at a leading refinery.

IT / Automation Master Plan

ProcessBiz developed the Master Plan for the second largest Petrochemicals manufacturer and distributor in India. The scope covered all functions at all locations which include the head office, all four manufacturing complexes, multiple regional and sales offices, and more than 70 distributor locations.
